La Roche-Posay Spec Ad – Flowing Cream

About the project
This personal project from 2024 is a spec ad for La Roche-Posay's Toleriane Sensitive Fluide skincare. A white, creamy liquid flows around the bottle, spreads out across a blue surface and finally forms a round pool with the product at its centre.
The clip alternates between angled close-ups, where logo and product name fill the frame, and the top view, where the cream settles into its shape. The white and blue pick up the brand's colour palette.
Technique
The cream was simulated in Houdini as a viscous liquid. Its high viscosity makes it flow slowly and softly, settle into rounded shapes and keep its smooth, creamy surface.
Simulation and bottle were assembled in Cinema 4D and rendered with Octane Render – with soft lighting and gentle reflections that suit the calm, clean feel of a skincare brand.
