Bild der Frau – TV Commercial Issue 24/2018
Client work for Hummelwerk GbR, 2018 – 3D in Cinema 4D and Octane Render, compositing in After Effects.
About the project
This TV commercial was created in 2018 on behalf of the commercial production company Hummelwerk GbR for Bild der Frau, one of Germany's major women's magazines. It promoted issue 24/2018.
The spot opens with the claim “Europe's biggest women's magazine” in golden 3D lettering on a red background. The current issue then rotates into view, accompanied by claims such as “Macht Appetit”, “Macht gesund” and “Macht strand-fit” and the matching topics of the issue. It closes with “Wir sind das Bild der Frau.”
Technique
The 3D typography, the magazine and the stage with its glossy red floor were created in Cinema 4D. Rendering was done with Octane Render – with golden, reflective materials and a soft depth of field for a high-end look.
The compositing, including the magazine topics shown on screen, was done in After Effects.
