Hallesche FEELfree – TV Commercial
Client work for ELEVEN VFX STUDIO, 2018 – tracking, sphere animation, match frame and end card with Cinema 4D, Octane Render and After Effects.
About the project
This client project was created in 2018 on behalf of ELEVEN VFX STUDIO for a TV commercial by Hallesche insurance. It promotes FEELfree, Hallesche's company health insurance.
In the spot, people in front of coloured backgrounds hold a glowing sphere with benefit icons, while large words such as “Vorausdenker”, “Vorbildlich” and “Vorteilsnehmer” run into the frame. It ends with the packshot of the sphere and the FEELfree logo. A second version with 3D lettering in real environments can be seen in the TV commercial with 3D lettering in space.
Technique
My part in this spot was everything to do with the sphere. So that the sphere and graphics follow the actors' hands precisely, the footage was tracked. Based on this, I set up a 3D proxy of the sphere in Cinema 4D and aligned the animation of the icons and graphics to it.
At the end, the sphere is thrown towards the camera. This animation serves as a match frame into the end card, which I also created – the sphere flies seamlessly into the packshot with the FEELfree logo. Rendering was done with Octane Render; the compositing was done in After Effects. The large lettering in the spot was not my work.
