Oldesloer Spec Ad – Bottle in Coastal Sand
Personal project, 2023 – particle simulation with X-Particles, Cinema 4D and Octane Render.
About the project
This personal project from 2023 is a spec ad for the North German spirits brand Oldesloer. The goal was to stage the product in an advertising-style way, with visuals that match its origin.
Oldesloer comes from the region between the North Sea and the Baltic, so a beach and sea environment was chosen: the bottle rests in a bed of swirling sand, as if just uncovered by the tide.
Technique
The sand was built as a particle simulation in X-Particles, using a massive number of individual particles to achieve the fine, grainy structure and realistic behavior as it swirls and settles.
As usual, the whole scene was built in Cinema 4D and rendered with Octane Render, bringing together lighting, the bottle's materials and the fine sand particles into a cohesive look.
