PLATH Group – Product Film for SDI CORE
Client work for PanFilm, 2025 – CGI in Cinema 4D, rendered with Octane Render, compositing in After Effects.
About the project
This product film for the PLATH Group's SDI CORE was made – like the PLATH Group image film – on behalf of Hamburg production company PanFilm. The PLATH Group is a Hamburg-based, family-run group of companies specializing in data-driven early crisis detection, with locations around the world.
The film was produced for the company's presence at the international defence technology exhibition IDEX. The goal was to present a technically complex product in a clear and understandable way – with a factual, high-end look that fits the PLATH brand.
Technique
The 3D scenes were created in Cinema 4D, where I built the environments, set up lighting and virtual cameras, and animated the vehicle and other elements. A defining design element is the glowing wireframe grid that makes the scene read as a digital space.
Rendering was done with Octane Render. I handled the final compositing and additional motion graphics in After Effects, bringing CGI, graphics and colour grading together into one cohesive image.
