PLATH Group – Product Video on Intelligence Technology
Client work for Pan Film Filmproduktion, 2024 – 3D animation and motion graphics with Cinema 4D, Octane Render and After Effects.
About the project
Together with Pan Film Filmproduktion, I contributed 3D animation and motion graphics to an impressive product video by the PLATH Group, which was shown in the keynote of Intelligence Day 2024 in Oslo. The aim of the project was to introduce the SDI Core – a new, forward-looking technology by PLATH that did not yet exist at the time of production.
The SDI Core is a scalable system that uses artificial intelligence to optimise the performance of connected systems and reduce the workload of operators. It was developed to improve the efficiency and precision of intelligence gathering in complex crisis scenarios. The film shows how the SDI Core can be used, for example, in ground-based and airborne operations, and was a central part of the presentation at Intelligence Day.
Technique
To bring this vision to life, we combined footage from earlier productions – such as the PLATH Group image film and an earlier product video – with 3D animation. The custom-made animations, deliberately kept technical in style, visualise the SDI Core and blend seamlessly with the live-action footage, which gives the product video its particular impact.
