Cyberpunk Sports Car – Night Drive through a Shower of Sparks
Personal project, 2023 – vehicle animation in Cinema 4D, particles with X-Particles, rendered with Octane Render.
About the project
This personal project from 2023 combines a futuristic cyberpunk look with classic vehicle animation. A sports car with glowing wheels drives at night along a wet road, with the city lights glowing in the background. Sparks, light trails and glowing particles accompany the drive.
The short clip is set up as a loop and alternates between side tracking shots, a backlit front view and close-ups in which the sparks and particles fill the frame.
Technique
The vehicle, camera moves and scene were created in Cinema 4D. The sparks and glowing particles around the car were simulated with X-Particles.
Rendering was done with Octane Render. Wet, reflective surfaces, neon light, light trails and motion blur create the typical cyberpunk look: dark, high-contrast and with glowing colour accents in red, orange and blue.
